The energy storage industry in Ireland has gone from strength to strength with nearly 700MW of battery storage now operational on the island and a further 4GW in the development pipeline. However, with uncertainties around access to the grid and future revenue streams we must focus on delivering the policies and market frameworks that will support the energy storage investments needed for Ireland’s clean energy transition.
