Powering Our Growth

We’re building an Irish electrostate — a country powered by abundant, secure clean energy — and next week, at Wind Energy Ireland’s Annual Conference, we set out how we get there.

On 21–22 January, the leaders of Ireland’s energy transition will come together in Dublin for the most important convening of the year for our sector. This year’s conference marks a defining milestone: the launch of Wind Energy Ireland’s 2026–2030 Strategy, setting the direction for the next phase of Ireland’s clean energy journey.

We are delighted to welcome Minister Darragh O’Brien to the conference, alongside keynote contributions from Cathal Marley, Chief Executive of the EirGrid Group, and senior leaders from across industry, policy and the energy system. Together, we’ll examine what’s needed to move from ambition to delivery at pace and scale.

Across two days, the programme will tackle the big questions shaping Ireland’s energy future, including:

  • Beyond fossil fuels: building a secure, renewable Irish grid
  • Telling Ireland’s clean energy story: public confidence, consent and leadership
  • Growing clean energy demand: electrification, competitiveness and economic growth
  • Future-proofing wind: creating clean, stable market outlooks that deliver lasting value
  • Delivering an effective planning system: unlocking projects and accelerating delivery

With record investment flowing into the grid, a strong onshore pipeline, offshore wind at a pivotal moment, and electrification now central to Ireland’s economic strategy, this is a critical point in the decade to 2030. The conversations happening at this conference will shape what comes next.

Join us in Dublin and be part of the discussion that will help power Ireland’s growth.
